Reinhold Mitterlehner ist the Austrian Federal Minister of Economy, Family and Youth. From 1980 till 1992 he worked for the Upper Austrian Economic Chamber, where his last position was Head of the Marketing Department. From 1992 till 2000 he was Secretary General of the Austrian Economic League (Wirtschaftsbund) in Vienna, in July 2000 he became Deputy Secretary General of the Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO).

From 1991 till 1997 he was a local councillor in Ahorn and from that position he went on to become a Member of the Austrian Parliament (National Council) on 8 February 2000, where he served as Chairman of the Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee from 2001 to 2008.

Competencies and Experience:    

Professor Arnold Schuh is Director of the Competence Center for Central and Eastern Europe at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna). In this capacity he is also Head of the UniCredit CEE Student CercleWU and of two CEE study programs, the Master Class CEE and JOSZEF which prepare WU and CEE students for a management career in CEE. 16 corporate partners support the activities of the Competence Center (http://www.wu.ac.at/cee).

Prof. Schuh´s primary research areas include marketing and strategic management in CEE/Europe. His current research and publications focus on the impacts of the global financial and economic crisis on CEE strategies, marketing in Central and Eastern Europe, and the influence of globalization/Europeanization on strategies and structures of multinational corporations.
